A solo project born in 2020, Fire The Humans started to gain traction a few years ago, winning fans and plaudits via their arena-filling anthems and irresistible melodies. With a new single (‘Burning Alive’) recently released and a whole host of activities planned for 2026, it’s shaping up to be a busy year, so there’s never been a better time to catch up with this most enigmatic of artists.
Can you tell us about Fire The Humans’ origins.
Fire the Humans is a solo project out of St. Louis Missouri in the United States. It was a creation I had in my head for many years, but during COVID I was able to focus on writing and recording since the world slowed down to a crawl.
What are your musical influences and how do you forge them into a cohesive whole?
I grew up inspired with many different genres. From Van Cliburn to Pantera. My parents were both musicians so they were always playing different artists in our home. I loved it all. Ray Charles to Eagles.
Can you tell us about your local music scene. Is it supportive? Are there many places to
play?
St. Louis has had many great bands and artists emerge from this city. Chuck Berry, Story of the Year, Nelly, thePour, CAVO and now Fire the Humans. They’re very supportive and love their music here. Couldn’t ask for a better foundation to build on.
What’s the best and worst thing about your local scene?
The best part is how supportive everyone is, but St. Louis’ artists don’t get the spotlight as often as they should. Some killers in my backyard.
Can you tell us about your discography (demos, singles, albums)
‘Vanish’ was the first release in 2021 and the feedback was phenomenal. I will have to say, my background was always fronting ‘rock’ bands’ and ‘rock music’ so when Vanich was released, everyone was pretty much confused. I loved that. I knew I was onto something
when they all said how catchy it was.
How do you feel you’ve evolved musically throughout your career?
This project absolutely helped push me outside of my comfort zone. Being in bands, you’re protected. Everyone shares the win or the failure…in a solo project you’re out in the rain and completely exposed. I like that pressure to be honest. Understanding that it’s
art and not everyone will see the beauty is part of it.
Can you tell us about tours you’ve completed. Any war stories you’d like to share?
Fire the Humans is gearing up for more tours and festivals, but stories from the past projects I cannot repeat 🙂
Will we see you on the road anytime soon?
Yes, 2026 will be a fun year. Multiple releases and many songs to promote. Keep eyes peeled for any venues close-by.
What’s next for you? How do you plan to reach the next level?
I’m never chasing money, fame or anything like that. I’m chasing creative freedom and giving thanks for everyday I can write, record and push further.

Do you believe in God? … Yes.
