Tuesday evening (28th July) there will be the very first public viewing of a film that will make anyone who enjoys music and is proud to be a Brummie, feel even more proud of our city – The UK Home of Rock & Roll.
The film is “Birmingham: A City Rooted in Talent” which will be screened as a feature in The 42nd Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival – in the upstairs lounge at Box, Water’s Edge, Brindleyplace at 7pm today, Tuesday 28th May.
The film celebrates the local talent, creativity and culture, that has placed Birmingham onto the world stage with the likes of Black Sabbath, Duran Duran and so many more.
Irrespective of your musical tatses, there’s bound to be some of your favourite local artists featured along with a wider focus on the talent the city has given us over the last 60 years.
