In recent years those making the journey across the Irish Sea to Bloodstock have performed with distinction.
This month was no different, with Dublin Metal 2 The Masses winners AeSect making their presence felt at Catton Park.
Formed in 2011, the Longford lads got off the mark with their Buried in the Undergrowth EP. A few line-up changes later they followed this up in 2015 with the six-track mini-album Devour the Earth.
With work underway on a full length debut things are progressing well for AeSect, as Paul Castles discovered when speaking with guitarist Dave Kennedy prior to the band’s rousing set on the Hobgoblin New Blood Stage.
