Named after the ancient Mesopotamian Empire, Akkadian bring fast, hard hitting, groovy songs, with a hypnotic Egyptian undertone. The band shares a deep interest in ancient history, from the Sumerian’s, to the Egyptians, which is then woven into the branding, theme and story telling of their songs.
The band have a hometown gig in Cambridge at The Junction on Saturday, 11 January. They will also be participating in Heat 3 of Bloodstock’s Metal 2 The Masses qualifiers at Hitchin Club 85 on Sunday 23 February.
