Quartz announce album launch show for ‘SiX’

Legendary Birmingham band Quartz have announced a special album launch show at Billesley Rock Club on Sunday 27th April.

New album, SiX, is their sixth studio album in a long career that is now over 50 years together as Quartz (and previously called Bandy Legs). The association goes back even further when various members of the band played together in various Brum Beat bands in the late 1960’s ie Lemon Tree and Copperfied.

The current line up still boasts three of the five original members namely Malc Cope (Drums), Mick Hopkins (Lead Guitar) and Dek Arnold (Bass ). They are now re-joined by vocalist/guitarist Geoff Bate who sang vocals on their 1983 release “Against All Odds”
The band are still active writing material and still play live despite the fact that they are approaching octogenarian age status. Sadly  both Taffy Taylor and Geoff Nicholls (who was a member of Black Sabbath for 24 years also) the other two original members of the band passed away in September 2016 and January 2017 respectively.
The band will be having an album launch party at The Billesley Rock Club on Sunday 27th April 2025 starting at 6pm with guests Iron Void
